Signing In
The shared systems of the Velocity Interoperability Network use one sign-in, operated by the Identity Service. An account holder signs in once and is recognised by each shared system without signing in again.
How sign-in works
- An account is issued to each person by their member organisation and recorded with the Identity Service. No one may sign in without an account issued in this way.
- A single sign-in gives access to every shared system the account holder is entitled to use: the Network Registry, the Interoperability Standards Library, the Member Directory and the Network Notices service.
- A session lasts for 12 hours from sign-in, after which the account holder must sign in again. Signing out ends the session at once.
- Each sign-in is recorded against the account. Member organisations may request a record of sign-ins for their own staff.
The sign-in page itself is not yet available. It will be published on this site when the shared systems are opened to member organisations. Until then, no sign-in details are requested by the Identity Service, and none should be sent by email.
